Description

This area is located in the constellation Lacerta and is about 1200 light years away.  SH2-126 is a huge, red, ionized hydrogen nebula we only see a small part of in this field of view.  LBN437 is the yellowish reflection nebula in the foreground commonly referred to as the Gecko Nebula or the Star Funnel Nebula.  A Herbig-Haro object, HH398, is the small x-shaped structure on the Gecko's forehead that can be seen when zoomed in.
